We use this information in order to make contact with you to discuss your treatment and to book a course of therapy sessions if you wish to go ahead.

In Initial Consultation we will ask for Your name, address, telephone and email contact details so that, if necessary, we may contact you during the time we are working together. We also ask questions about your age, occupation, education, health, medication and pastimes. These questions help us to get to know you better and tailor the therapy for your needs.

​All information discussed through email, phone, or in sessions is treated as confidential. However, there are two specific situations where I may need to share your information:

In cases where there is a genuine concern for your safety or the safety of others, I may need to communicate relevant information to emergency services or your general practitioner (GP) to ensure appropriate support and intervention are provided. This is done with the intention of preventing harm and prioritising your well-being. I would inform you of my need to make such communications in advance whenever possible to do so.

If there is a court order or legal requirement that necessitates the disclosure of information, I am obligated to comply with these regulations as outlined in my professional code of ethics.

Maintaining confidentiality is an essential aspect of my practice, and I take it seriously to create a safe and trusting therapeutic environment. Any disclosure of information outside of these specific circumstances would only occur with your explicit consent or as required by law.

In May 2018 the Data Protection Act was replaced by the General Data Protection Regulations  (GDPR). The changes to the Data Protection Act are aimed at ensuring that your personal,  confidential and sometimes sensitive data is held privately and securely.  Personal data that we process shall not be kept for longer than is necessary. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. If you wish to be informed what Personal Information we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us by email.
